Given the current ACT and NSW Government lockdowns and travel restrictions until 17th and 29th September 2021 respectively, the Club has taken the regretful but realistic decision to CANCEL the 40th Kosciuszko Rally on 8-10 October 2021.
Our collective optimism has encouraged us to plan for a 'back to basics' 40th Anniversary Kosciuszko Rally at Geehi Flat Campground, Kosciuszko National Park over the weekend 3-5 December 2021.
However, the rally will only take place if the ACT and NSW re lockdown free and regional travel is approved. There is no need to pre-register. Check on this website for the most up to date information.
NSW Health Department COVID-19 rules will be in place at Geehi. Know what you need to be doing and not wreck rallying for us all.
Will be held on the weekend 8-10 October 2021 at the Geehi Flats (Hut) Campground located off the Alpine Way 43km from Thredbo and 31km from Khancoban NSW within Kosciuskzo National Park (KNP). KNP has entry fees with fixed cameras monitoring entry and exit roads through the park (more info). You can check out road conditions on the NSW Roads & Maritime Services website.
Have friends? Then share the webpage, whilst a Google Map link is here and map below. The ride to and around Geehi offers some of the most picturesque scenery and riding roads to be found in SE Australia. Watch out for animals, traffic and remember to ride to the road and weather conditions.
The Rally entry fee of $25 includes a badge with raffle tickets for sale. Buying a rally badge supports the cost of holding the rally and proceeds donated to charity. The BMWMCC takes no money from the rally for the Club. Register here.
The Club will again offer for sale a gourmet BBQ dinner and dessert on Saturday night and Sunday breakfast of egg 'n' bacon rolls and espresso coffee or juice. Buy your vouchers on arrival at the rally site. Your rally supplies are available in Jindabyne (80 km), Thredbo (limited), Corryong (60 km) and Khancoban (limited)
Proceeds from the rally go to a nominated charity and thanks to all those who attended in 2020 we donated $1500 to the Royal Doctor Flying Service following on from past years. In 2017 we donated $1000 to Talbingo Primary School.
